Today was... Funny
Well I guess that's one word for it. I told my friend I would watch her kids even though I'm rather sick (I informed her I was sick, but she couldn't find anyone else). So I had a 3,2,1, and 7-mo-old. I decided I had my kids 2 1/2 years apart for a reason. No actually things went fairly well. First thing this morning Kaylee spilled apple juice all over so I had to remop when I had just mopped yesterday, and trust me when I say I mop quite inconsistently so it's a big deal when I get my floor mopped. Then I was heating up the milk for the baby in hot water (it was frozen breast milk) and I tried to get the little plastic bag in the bottle and exploded the bag all down the front of me and in my hair. I said "Oh crap!" and Kaylee said "Mom I just saw the crap" (meaning she saw what happened). So I had Kaylee feed the baby while I went and changed (no offense to Amber but it's not a pleasant thing to have someone else's breast milk all over you). It really grossed me out. Thankfully Kaylee held down the fort while I changed and rinsed my hair.
So then later in the day, I decided to be adventurous and take all the kids on a walk. I walked out to the garage, and hit the button to open the garage door. I turned around and started buckling the baby into the stroller. Suddenly I heard whimpering and then a terrified scream. Kaylee was hanging from the garage door with both of her hands and she was all the way to the top. I don't know what she was thinking, but I ran and grabbed her. I was laughing while I tried to calm her down. She was rather shaken up, but the visual was just to much. I couldn't stop laughing. Is that bad?
Anyway, all in all things turned out just fine today, but we definitely had our interesting moments. I know that for this to really be a crazy day and a great story I needed a couple more crazy things to happen, but in a way I'm glad that they didn't.

haha that is hilarious. I'm still trying to get the visual of Kaylee hanging from the garage. LOL Thanks for the humor to brighten my day!
Kaylee hanging from the door has me laughing out loud and I can't stop. Reminds me of yesterday when Marilyn was holding Ivy and Charity and said, "How does Michelle do it?" and I reminded her that mine were three months closer than hers and I had a 4 year old. Isn't it fun!! They grow up and aren't as funny, so enjoy it! =) And then you make them mop the floor!
Love the visual image of Kaylee hanging from the garage door. And I am totally with you on the whole mopping thing. Although I do mop a bit more often now that I have a swiffer wet jet. It's just so much easier and the mop head never gets yucky.
Hey Stacy, I hope you don't mind that I checked out your blog; I found it through Debra's. Sounds like an intriguing day! (I would have laughed too with the garage door thing... poor girl though!) Thanks for the smile and chuckles when I read today! :)
I was laughing out loud, so the kids had to hear the story too. So I read it out loud to the whole crew, and we were all laughing. But then we had to end in 'but we should never hang from the garage door while it's opening because that could be very dangerous...' I could just see the gears turning--about the closest thing you can get to Disneyland in the comfort of your own garage. ;) Glad Cole and Kaylee got to hang out yesterday. They have so much fun together! Also glad they weren't literally hanging from anything. Love ya Stace!
Burton, Do I remember the Venus Fly Trap? That might be the dumbest question you have ever asked.
We really do need to get together and do something. I haven't seen you for years. It's good to see you and your family. Your girls are adorable. Give me a call so we can plan a time to get together.
