Kids These Days
Yesterday I told Kaylee that I love her and she responded by telling me, "Mom do you know who my best friends are?" I asked her who and she said her dad and Audrey (her cousin). I said that was cool and asked about me and Brianna. She said she liked us, but we just weren't her favorites. I had to laugh. That child is hilarious. She went on to say that I would be her favorite when she turns 5, that Grandma in Idaho would be her favorite when she's 8, and that Brianna would be her favorite when she turns 4. After that I decided to try and be superfun and impress her enough to get on her best friend list so I told her we should make Halloween decorations. She was way excited. We made a really cute witch and then she drew some monster and pumpkin pictures. It was a lot of fun to just have some one-on-one time (Brianna was sleeping). After we made the witch and hung it up, Kaylee informed me that she didn't like it because it was just too scary so I'm still not her favorite. So I resorted to just giving her lots and lots of treats. j/k
Life has been crazy the last month since I went back to school. It's seemed harder to balance things than last year. Chris just got done coaching tennis today (hooray!!!) so that should make things a little less crazy, but he still is gone on Wednesdays reffing football til 11:30. Needless to say I haven't been able to find too much time to do homework. In fact my last two exams I got 73%. Wierd huh? Two completely different exams, exact same score. For those of you who know me well, Cs are very out of character. Oh well, I just have to keep reminding myself that life has changed a little since my first couple years of school and my family is more important. I just feel a little stretched like neither school nor family is getting enough time and attention. I'm getting close to being done though so I just need to hang in there.
Brianna is changing so much. She is so much fun. She has a major shoe fetish and is always going to the shoe closet to put on another pair of shoes. She loves Kaylee's crocs the best. My favorite thing she does is when you ask for a kiss, she'll give you one and then she has to go around and give them to everyone in the room, like she can't leave anyone out. In fact, she tried to give one to this girl that was sitting by us in Stake Conference. It was so funny- the girl didn't know what she was trying to do because she just holds her lips funny and tilts her head back. She is very social. She isn't afraid to make friends with anyone, including dogs (that one's a little scary).
As for Kaylee, she's my little helper. She loves to clean, fold laundry, and make her bed, and then tell everyone what a good helper she is. I love those two crazy kids! They are so much fun and make me a happy mom...most days :).

Woa! I was just checking blogs--you are at the first of my list and didn't have a new post, but by the time I got to Michelle's at the end of my list, you had one. Wacko! And I laughed out loud. As always you are in the wrong Oakley and need to be close to my girls! =) We made a wrong turn (or didn't turn as the case may be) and headed up the canyon in Salt Lake and I tried to convince the girls we should visit you but they thought Hogle Zoo sounded better. Sorry!
Hi Stacey! You have such a cute family! It looks like you are all doing well! Love you lots!
I think Brianna and Cole are a lot alike. We've made good friends with our UPS man recently, as Lanny ordered every part for a new computer separately online. He knows Cole's full name, birthday, and other important details. Last time as he was climbing in his truck, Cole yelled, "Bye! Love you!" You are a good mom, scary witch picture or no. Congrats on the 73's...I'm glad you passed. Now just hang in for the curve to boost 'em a bit! Can't wait to see you this week!
Stace, as usual, you never fail to make me laugh. I love reading your stories, though many times I've already heard them on the phone:o) I still love the way you write them. Love you!
