July is Already Gone!

I can't believe July is already practically over. It has flown by. We have had a great month though. We started it off with a lovely reunion in Idaho with the Day side of the family. It was tons of fun. I got to see Jana which was great since it doesn't happen very often. We played a lot. We took the kids to the zoo, Ross park, and Jensen's Grove. They loved all the places, but they were mostly just happy being together. Then over the fourth, we helped my parents build a deck and we ate a lot of food and played lots of games. We also had a talent show. Chris and I did a little Shakira number (I made him do it). Lets just say there was lots of hip-shaking involved (not so much on Chris' part). Sometimes it's hard to be so darn talented. Kaylee sang the Ingrid Michaelson song The Way I Am. It was absolutley adorable- she knows all three verses. We had a great time all together- I love my fam. Also I got to see Clint's(my bro) and Kat's new twin baby boys. They are so precious. We had a great time.

The kids at Tautphaus Park
Linds and Kaylee- Cute cousinsAmerican Idol talent show- Luke was guest judge, Jana was a fantastic Paula, and Chris charmed us with his phenomenal Simon impersonation (another thing his wife made him do). When we came home it was back to studying the super-exciting world of statistics. I'm doing an online course through BYU. It isn't very much fun, but it will pay off eventually. I think I'll be able to finish up my bachelor's in three semesters hopefully. Coming home also meant tennis lessons. I'm actually taking Chris's adult class up at the rec center- I love it. Tennis is tons of fun. I think I want a tennis skirt. Let me know if you want to play. I'm not too shabby.

Our latest exciting news is that we have added a two new modes of transportation to our family. Aren't they lovely? Kaylee got a brand new bike and we decided to get a scooter for Chris to drive back and forth to work. It's really fun to drive. Chris drove it home all the way from American Fork. Needless to say he got flipped off a couple times doing 45 in the 55 mph zones. Oh well. I stayed behind him to protect him from all the angry drivers out there.
One more story- I took Kaylee to a little kids carnival. There was a booth there where you could get a temporary tattoo. They had a whole sheet of choices- butterflies, cute little monkeys, a rose... after waiting in line forever she chose three freaky skulls with flames. They were a little too scary for me so she decided she didn't want one. It really threw me off guard since she is usually all about princess stuff. Funny.

A couple more exciting announcements for the month of July to officially make this the longest blog ever- Kaylee almost always stays dry at nightnow. She is finally off of sippy cups and Brianna is off bottles. And Brianna has started to change her own diapers j/k. Here are a few more random pics from our month.
Kaylee had me dress her up as a pirate one day- I thought the outfit we scrambled up was pretty cute. Here are more pics of the girls swimming- they love getting in the pool especially with their dad.

Hi Stace! I love looking at your blog. Sounds like you've been having fun! So Michelle bought a minivan? It reminds me of the good old high school days in your families minivan. Love you!
