February Fun
I know what you are thinking- February and fun totally don't go together, but even though the weather is crrrrappy (Yes Mom I still use that word :)) I have been having fun crafting. So far what I've made is...
A two-minute birthday card because I procrastinated making my cards once again for card club.
Some skinny flannel pj bottoms that are too tight on me. I was using leftover flannel from my neighbor Christmas gifts (heated rice bags) and didn't have quite enough. If you have really skinny legs give me a call and they're yours :).
This is my favorite project, but I didn't make it this month. My mom recovered a bumper pad and made this dust ruffle for the crib and I designed and pieced this cute quilt for Penny. My Mom quilted it for me and then taught me how to bind it. It was a lot of fun.
My last project is these cute ruffle pillows that I saw on Good Things Utah (I know. Laugh it up sisters. So what if all of my knowledge comes from GTU.) and had to make for my girls. Kaylee recently drew a picture for me of how she would like to design her room and it involved a lot of pillows so I made one for her. Here's a tutorial if you would like to make your own: http://www.abc4.com/content/about_4/gtu/featured_on/story/Cute-Ruffle-Pillows-You-Can-Make-Yourself/CayHSbhC20Sv4-68DYDSdQ.cspx My only recommendation is that you use a good sewing maching because it kind of messed up the tension on my cheap machine.
And I can't have a post without showing you my cute girls. This is a pic of my girlies soaking up some sunshine in St. George in the high 50, low 60 degree weather. It felt like paradise after being in our little igloo we like to call home.I have to tell you one quick story about Kaylee. Chris was discussing moving to a new home with her and she said that she doesn't mind moving as long as she doesn't have to switch schools. Anyway, as they continued talking Kaylee said that buying a new house could be really good because her barbies have already explored everywhere they can in our house and it might be nice for them to have a new space to explore. I love that girl... and her cute sister Bri!
And this sweet baby with the serious eyebrows and the cutest smile ever!
