Chris and I just go to do something really amazing! He took me out of the country for my first time (unless you count going to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls :)). Our destination: Jamaica (I know, the title kind of gave it away). We found out a while ago about working vacations where you can go to a resort and work as a tennis or golf pro or a fitness instructor. We decided that this would be an awesome way to vacation by having Chris teach tennis. By teaching 2-3 hours a day, you get your stay for free. So we tried it out and even though my mom thought it was a fraud, it was totally legit and totally awesome! We decided to go to Sunset at the Palms in Negril, Jamaica. It was amazing! It is an all-inclusive resort on Seven Mile Beach known for its abundance of marijuana and nude sunbathers. When we heard that, we automatically knew it was for us. j/k Well, luckily we weren't on a nude part of the beach, but the marijuana, although illegal, was all over the place. The beach was beautiful though. And there is just nothing that compares to leaving your snow-laden home in the month of January and finding a nice, warm beach destination where you can soak up some sun. Seriously every day Chris and I said, "It's January" and then we would happily soak up some more welcome rays of the sunshine. We spent most of our time being impressively lazy. I dare you to try and be this lazy.
Our room was this awesome tree house cabin on stilts. It was really cool!

That is so awesome!!! I'm so happy that it worked out for you guys. I'm thinking of becoming some fitness instructor just to partake in this great vacationing way of life. :)
Love the pics, sista!! I want to see the rest!!!!
I'm sooo jealous. I want sunshine!! How fun for you. =)
Wow I am so jealous! I could use some good sun soaking down time! That resort looked awesome! To answer your question on my blog, I get to take my kids with me to work! :) I do most of the work from home, but when I need to go to the office I drag them with me. Although I'm crazy busy, I wouldn't want it any other way!
How fun!!! It looks amazing! Good for you I bet it was nice to get away! ;)
Stace...I finally got a chance to look at your blog...AMAZING! It looks like you had a great time in Jamaica! I'm so glad you got to go. Andy wants me to get scuba certified for our honeymoon in Hawaii. I know you're probably remmebering the time in high school when you had to save me out of the deepend at Jeff's pool party...yeah I'm a little nervous about it too!! haha!! L
Hey Chris and Stacey, This is Dan Ricks. Chris and I were companions in the office together in Ecuador... and I came to your wedding etc. I've lost touch with you guys... want to catch up. My email is danricks@gmail.com. Shoot me a note when you get a chance. P.S. Chris may remember me as Phil.
Wowee. Too much fun. Now that it's spring, just as we predicted it would be, I'm not AS anxious to get away as I was. But I can't wait to have my man all to myself for a while, what with the 3 months without him thing. Take your next vacation to my house! You can instruct me in yoga if you'd like, or zumba, but if you'd rather not, I'll still let you stay for free. Plus kids stay & eat free ;) Glad you had fun!
Hey Stacey, I have a favor.... I am putting together a book of "memories" for Kyle's 30th birthday and was wondering if you and Chris could send me an email with a few of your favorite memories of Kyle. I know this is super short notice, and I don't have your email, but please send it to fnegbert (at) gmail (dot) com. I am trying to get it together by no later than this Wednesday. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
